Zodiacs

Bob cat, duck and weave, it's yours for the taking. There may be bigger nasty stars out in the cosmic jungle, but they're not crossing your path. Best to let the cat out of the bag and do some free-range enterprise. Some care to be placed on making sure your sinews are strong - connect your intentions with your physical ability to deliver. It would not hurt to put on some pumas and panther about from time to time.

 Health

You might be feline a little poorly this year, sometimes for no apparent reason. Any illnesses that spread through general circulation are not something to be curious about. Leopards famously cannot change their spots, and you would be better off not having any at all. This means prevention - avoid places where contagion is present and pay attention to your diet.

 Wealth

A steady rise without paws can be effected by not taking too much from the kitty; don't cheetah on the effort needed to pay attention to investments. Even tigers not inclined to invest on friends' recommendations may be tempted to civet a go. You have the gods of wealth looking after you throughout the year - don't mistake them for a mid-meal snack.

 Love

Preen those whiskers, perm the tail if you must, and head for an evening party as the tipsy tabby. This year should be a fine one for making lynx with those you're interested in, however you express this, from eating smaller prey to muzzling up to other kings in the jungle. Someone you've been close to for a long time might get closer. In a busy year for the emotions there’ll be plenty of small nipping, stay with the higher scents.

 Career

Whatever techniques you were using last year, keep them in play - flattery, charm and competence all have their place. There will be thickets, copses and tropical jungles to deal with, but nothing that a large cat can't traverse. The paths you prowl are your choice, stay for a modest year but with future prospects, or leap across to better hunting grounds.

Guiding hexagram from the Yi-Jing (Book of Changes)

Judgement:
Pushing upward has supreme success. One must see the great man. Fear not. Departure toward the south brings good fortune.
Image:
Within the earth, wood grows: the image of pushing upward. Thus the superior man heaps up small things to achieve something great.
Line:
Nine in the third place means one pushes upward into an empty city.
Verdict:
Clearly you're going to be involved in building a ghost town somewhere on the mainland. Wood in the earth perhaps indicates these structures may be in the Tibetan foothills where there are hard trees - do not forget that coming south brings good fortune; pick up a Mark 6 ticket as soon as you’re back across the border.
