Zodiacs

Lots of movement, and a generally good year for the snake. Your skin should be thick enough to see you through the rat traps at work, and with a little care the tail won’t get trodden on. You may not end up richer than Croesus, but the world is welcoming you. Don your King Cobra hat and go out and enjoy it. Everyone is attracted to one form of snake or another, they're waiting for you now.

 Health

It's close to high summer, the ground and the rocks you’ll want to sun yourself on are yours for the taking; mongooses, honey badgers and eagles are nowhere to be seen. You might make the most of getting out of your hole by setting up a good base for years to come - be judicious in your choice of small rodents for food. Slough when necessary and don't play with pitchforks.

 Wealth

Incremental steps are best for those without feet. Remember, bead rhymes with greed, and if you keep your beady snake-eyes on the job at hand, there's no reason there won't be some gains to be had. Listening to the heavy pythons dangling down might bring some unexpected riches - they can see further out in the financial jungle. No great dangers lurk.

 Love

It's a good year to hang out at the local waterhole and see what comes by. If you're not eating it, you might strike up a conversation and who knows where that may end up. For those content to coil up at home, all your scales should be meshing happily. Keep serpentine emotions in check however, you don't want to end up with someone having a hissy fit.

 Career

Work is a game of snakes and ladders after all. Both possibilities lie open to you, and you'll need to actively wrap around the best opportunities. Sure, you can lick the air once or twice, but then it's down to business. Keep your vipers off at work and let the social waters run where they may. There are snake-eating dogs out there and the antidote is some distance away.

Guiding hexagram from the Yi-Jing (Book of Changes)

Judgement:
Duration. Success. No blame. Perseverance furthers. It furthers one to have somewhere to go.
Image:
Thunder and wind: the image of duration. Thus the superior man stands firm and does not change his direction.
Line:
Six in the fifth place means giving duration to one's character through perseverance. This is good fortune for a woman.
Verdict:
Perseverance furthers, particularly for women. Standing firm in a world of rapid changes is wonderful for the superior man; for snakes and other mortals, we recommend standing firm until it is a good idea not to.
