Paws for thought, and pause again before crossing the road to rifle that bin. The bin might be loaded and the road might be slippery. Whatever it is that you do this year, accidents are on the horizon and care is called for. The party dogs among you might consider taking this opportunity to become the designated driver.

Loyalty is your stock in trade and you'll be better off going after long-term investments than chasing hubcaps and other short-term gains - do the latter and chances are your bank account will go to the dogs. There’s a cat around every corner this year, just waiting to sell you a pup. Do you want to be a dog with a bone? Then choose quality over quantity.

 Love

The rise of the shaggy dog. Tail up, ears drooping, head cocked to the side, now smell every tail you can. This is a fine year for relationships. If you're in one, then even more love and understanding will come to you. If you’d like to be in one then get out and hunt. If you'd prefer to remain single, just gaze in the mirror, those cracks will disappear of their own accord.

 Career

If you've been standing in front of the mirror in the work bathroom, puffing your chest out like a mastiff, you might want to keep it there and not take it back to the floor. This is not the year you discover the after-hours key to the butcher's coldroom and wolf everything down. Be on guard so that you don’t prove that you’re all poodle. Eat whatever is in the bowl.
