Hong Kong – 3 September 2025: Sir Gareth Southgate, former head coach of England football team, will headline the 32nd Investors’ Forum 2025. He is a distinguished leader who revived the fortunes of the England team achieving back-to-back UEFA European Championships finals as well as reaching the Quarter and Semi Finals in successive FIFA World Cups.
Taking charge of the England team during one of its most turbulent periods, Southgate redefined its culture and identity while rebuilding its connection with the nation. Today he holds the record for the most major tournament victories of any England manager. His leadership extends far beyond football: from delivering the Richard Dimbleby Lecture earlier this year to his work as an international ambassador for The King’s Trust, where he has championed youth development and leadership programmes.
Southgate built England’s team identity from the ground up instilling a culture of professionalism, humility and resilience. At the Forum, attendees will discover the true grit and dedication that have shaped his remarkable journey, leaving with renewed inspiration and practical lessons in resilience and leadership.
The 32nd Investors’ Forum 2025 runs from 8–11 September at the Grand Hyatt Hong Kong. This year’s event brings together over 1,600 investors, 450 leading companies and more than 50 distinguished speakers exploring the critical macro, geopolitical and strategic themes shaping portfolios today. In addition, 17 bespoke pre- and post-forum industry tours will spotlight sectors including AI and advanced technologies, consumer markets, energy transition, manufacturing, automotive and robotics, providing investors with on-the-ground perspectives across Asia’s most dynamic industries.
Edward Park, Global Head of Institutional Equities & Deputy CEO of CITIC Securities International, said: “Asia continues to drive global growth, increasingly as a leader in tech innovation, digital adoption and sustainability. At this year’s Forum we are focusing on rapid advances in AI and the reshaping of supply chains as the rise of new consumer markets across the region refocuses global investment opportunities. Against a backdrop of shifting geopolitics and protectionist policies collaboration and adaptability will be essential to capture the next wave of opportunity. Our Forum is designed to help investors navigate these challenges and unlock Asia’s next wave of opportunity.”
Shaun Cochran, Head of Research at CLSA, added: “The CITIC CLSA Investors’ Forum is a core event for investors to take stock of Asia’s role in their portfolio. We are excited to focus on the critical theme of leadership both in boardrooms and markets. Supporting Sir Gareth’s insights on the former will be an array of world-class speakers addressing the latter. Perhaps the most interesting question is will USA global-equity market leadership for this long-lived cycle come to an end and will Asia play a foundational role in a potential breakout for the rest of the world. We think yes. Come and join us to understand the myriad reasons why.”
