Seoul, Korea – 29 April 2026: CITIC CLSA is pleased to announce the launch of its inaugural CITIC CLSA Northeast Asia Forum. Held from 23-24 June 2026, the Forum also marks the 30th anniversary of CITIC CLSA’s Korea office, which opened in 1996. This event will provide a dedicated platform for investors, corporates and thought leaders to discuss shifting market dynamics in Northeast Asia through a distinctly Korean lens.

Korea’s equity market has emerged as one of Asia’s standout performers in recent years, reaching record highs and drawing renewed investor attention. Against this backdrop, the Forum will discuss secular growth trends driving Korea’s appeal to investors, including advanced hardware, energy, AI-powered innovation, corporate governance and geopolitics, while also examining the country’s growing cultural influence, from K-pop to the wider global reach of Korean media.

“We expect the Forum to feature one of the largest contingents of Chinese companies participating  in a broker-hosted conference in Korea, reflecting the scale of regional investor interest and the increasingly connected nature of Northeast Asia’s capital markets,” said Seungjoo Ro, CITIC CLSA Country Head, South Korea.

“We are excited to expand our array of market-leading events to help investors assess both the extraordinary performance of Korea and the interrelated opportunity for Northeast Asia. AI, robots, semiconductors, EV – Korea is at the heart of many of these themes. With our Chief Equity Strategist Alexander Redman recently noting that just five stock names currently contribute half of total EM earnings growth, there has never been a better time for some on-the-ground thesis validation. Join us, your proven events partner, in one of the most exciting cities in the world to explore some of the most profound investment questions of the past 50 years,” said Shaun Cochran, CITIC CLSA Head of Research.

The Forum will bring together over 150 institutional investors, more than 80 leading companies from Korea, China, Japan and Taiwan, China, as well as our top-ranked regional and CITIC Securities research analysts. To round out the experience, attendees can join bespoke tours across sectors like technology and robotics, shipbuilding, grid infrastructure and energy storage, beauty, industrial conglomerates, financial services and corporate governance. Through site visits and meetings with management and industry experts, delegates will gain firsthand exposure to the trends shaping Korea’s investment landscape.
