CLSA Japan expands research coverage to financial sector

Tokyo, Japan – Tuesday, 19 June 2018: CLSA Limited (‘CLSA’), Asia’s leading capital markets and investment group, is pleased to announce the appointment of Hideyasu Ban as senior research analyst covering the Japan financial sector including banks, diversified financial companies and insurers.

Hideyasu joins CLSA Japan and brings with him more than two decades of research and investment banking experience in financial service industries. Hideyasu previously worked as a financial sector analyst at Morgan Stanley MUFG Securities for over 10 years. Prior to that, he was at Merrill Lynch Japan Securities working as a coverage banker. Hideyasu also spent eight years at a local Japanese bank as risk management and loan officer.

Hideyasu holds an MBA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and a BA from the University of Tokyo. He is also a chartered member of The Securities Analysts Association of Japan.
