We are excited to announce that CITIC CLSA Trust (the Trust) has donated HKD 737,000 and HKD 100,000 to Po Leung Kuk (PLK) and Heep Hong Society (HHS), respectively. Subsequently, the Trust will collaborate with these organisations to launch a series of tailor-made programmes aimed at improving the education quality and wellbeing of children and youth in Hong Kong’s local communities.
CITIC CLSA Trust x PLK Youth Mental Health Programme
The Trust’s donation to PLK will empower the launch of “CITIC CLSA Trust x PLK Youth Mental Health Programme”, designed to raise awareness for mental health among primary and middle school students in Hong Kong and support their comprehensive development. Estimated to run from February 2024 to March 2025, the programme will feature a variety of experiential activities and workshops using expressive art therapy and multimedia. The programme is expected to benefit over 101,000 people.
Established in 1878, Po Leung Kuk is one of the oldest and leading charitable organisations in Hong Kong. It provides multifaceted social services to children and youth among other beneficiaries through its 300+ service units.
Heep Hong Charity Sports Fun Day
The Trust’s donation to HHS will be used to support the annual “Heep Hong Charity Sports Fun Day”, aimed at raising funds for the HHS “Children and Youth Training Fund”. The event will kick off on 2 December 2023, packed with football and basketball corporate tournaments, various sports games and theme booths for participants of all ages to join. Proceeds from the day will be used to provide better and timely education, assessment and therapy trainings to SEN children (children with special educational needs) and those from low-income families.
Heep Hong Society is a leading education and rehabilitation organization in Hong Kong that offers assessment, guidance, training and family support services to children and youth, especially SEN children.
