CORPORATE FUNCTIONS

CORPORATE COMMUNICATIONS

Corporate Communications manages the reputation, brand and culture of CLSA through proactive internal and external stakeholder engagement that includes media outreach, brand management, social media and content development, employee communications and CSR activities including the management of CLSA’s corporate philanthropy strategies and CLSA sustainability initiatives.

What interns will do…

Interns will have the opportunity to support the Corporate Communications team in the lead up to the CLSA Investors’ Forum through media relations activities, digital content development and social media analysis.

FINANCE, TAX & TREASURY

Finance, Tax & Treasury aims to increase profits by creating and monitoring financial goals, measuring company efficiency, managing tax requirements, providing treasury functions such as cash management and maintaining records of reports and payments.

What interns will do…

Interns will assist senior team members in preparing monthly financial and management reports, and working on re-engineering projects to review and enhance processes.

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

Information Technology enables CLSA to achieve its business goals by managing the systems and hardware that drive collaboration and efficiency each and every day. Key areas of IT are:

Infrastructure – Data Centers, Networking, Communications, Data storage and Desktop support. The Infrastructure team maintains all of the Hardware and Software we use to perform our business activities.

Production or BAU – Supports systems which are “live” and used daily. We have dedicated Production Support teams for each business line and corporate functions.

Development – Creates IT solutions to meet business requirements. This may involve recommending, negotiating and installing products or developing proprietary software tailored to CLSA’s business needs. To aid this development and leverage access to a highly skilled IT workforce, we have a development center in Pune, India.

What interns will do…

Interns will work with both the Infrastructure and Development teams to learn about IT systems that drive a leading financial services business and understand the development and design of IT initiatives that support CLSA’s global operations.

HUMAN RESOURCES

What interns will do…
Interns will work as part of the generalist and specialist teams on strategic HR projects and provide administrative support.

MARKETING EVENTS

Marketing Events manages CLSA’s renowned Investor Forums in Bangkok, Delhi, Tokyo and across cities in China including Hong Kong, Beijing and elsewhere. Our award winning Forums are attended by global leaders. Read more here.

What interns will do…

Interns will support the marketing events team in the preparation of the CLSA Investors’ Forum 2019. For graduates interested in events, promotion and marketing, this is a great opportunity to assist in the preparation of Asia’s leading investment conference to be held in September 2019.

MARKETING STRATEGY

Marketing Strategy helps generate revenue through business development, client engagement and new client acquisition through targeted marketing campaigns that include digital strategy, advertising and sponsorship.

What interns will do…

Interns will assist the team to develop and implement marketing campaigns that includes analyses of key revenue streams, new client prospect opportunities and the promotion of CLSA’s business services through advertising and sponsorship.

OPERATIONS

Operations is responsible for providing Trade Support and Middle/Back Office functions for CLSA and its clients such as client services and relationship management, trade processing and asset servicing. Our team provides innovative solutions and services to enhance productivity and efficiency for the firm and our clients.

What interns will do…

Interns will be deployed in the Trade Support and the Client Onboarding teams. Throughout the internship, interns will assist with the day-to-day functioning of the trade lifecycle and trade management, amongst other things.

RISK MANAGEMENT

CLSA’s Risk Management team is primarily involved in the identification, monitoring, management and control of risks that the company may encounter during everyday business. These are Market Risk, Credit Risk, Operation Risk and Technology Risk. As the second line of defence, our Risk Management department is essential to CLSA’s successful operation.

What interns will do…

Interns will gain an appreciation of risk management and governance processes. In addition to assisting in the day-to-day risk management of our risk exposure by providing independent analysis of business activities and establishing processes to monitor these risks, interns may conduct projects support risk management activities.
