CORPORATE FUNCTIONS
CORPORATE COMMUNICATIONS
Corporate Communications manages the reputation, brand and culture of CLSA through proactive internal and external stakeholder engagement that includes media outreach, brand management, social media and content development, employee communications and CSR activities including the management of CLSA’s corporate philanthropy strategies and CLSA sustainability initiatives.
What interns will do…
- Support the Corporate Communications team in the lead up to the CLSA Investors’ Forum through media relations activities, digital content development and social media analysis.
- Assist in the management of global employee communications events such as Town Halls; be involved in the marketing & operations of the company’s Charitable Trust and other CSR activities.
- Gain hands-on experience in the preparation of annual CSI Group Sustainability Report, and deep dive into the company’s ESG strategies & latest industry insights.
EXECUTIVE OFFICE – STRATEGIC PLANNING & CORPORATE DEVELOPMENT
Strategic Planning & Corporate Development is responsible for overseeing new product approvals, managing cross-functional business and regulatory projects, supporting senior management in strategic planning and corporate governance matters.
What interns will do…
Interns will have the opportunity to assist with management of new product approvals, formulation of competitor benchmarking analysis, and coordination of change management initiatives.
FINANCE & TAX
Finance & Tax aims to increase profits by creating and monitoring financial goals, measuring company efficiency, managing tax requirements.
What interns will do…
Interns will assist senior team members in preparing monthly financial and management reports, and working on re-engineering projects to review and enhance processes.
INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
Information Technology enables CLSA to achieve its business goals by managing the systems and hardware that drive collaboration and efficiency each and every day. Key areas of IT are:
Infrastructure – Data Centers, Networking, Communications, Data storage and Desktop support. The Infrastructure team maintains all of the Hardware and Software we use to perform our business activities.
Production or BAU – Supports systems which are “live” and used daily. We have dedicated Production Support teams for each business line and corporate functions.
Development – Creates IT solutions to meet business requirements. This may involve recommending, negotiating and installing products or developing proprietary software tailored to CLSA’s business needs. To aid this development and leverage access to a highly skilled IT workforce, we have a development center in Pune, India.
What interns will do…
Interns will work with both the Infrastructure and Development teams to learn about IT systems that drive a leading financial services business and understand the development and design of IT initiatives that support CLSA’s global operations.
HUMAN RESOURCES
What interns will do…
Interns will work as part of the generalist and specialist teams on strategic HR projects and provide administrative support.
LEGAL & COMPLIANCE
Legal & Compliance is critical to the day-to-day operation of CLSA’s global business. L&C works closely with management to ensure CLSA complies with all rules and regulations governing its business. The Legal team provides legal advice and reviews and sign offs on all documents imposing legal liability on CLSA Group. The Compliance team takes a hands-on approach which includes pro-active education and training of staff, offering practical regulatory advice to the business, as well as early identification, assessment and resolution of potential compliance issues.
What interns will do…
Interns will be involved in various types of legal and compliance reviews and analyses to become familiar with regulations in the financial world.
RISK MANAGEMENT
CLSA’s Risk Management team is primarily involved in the identification, monitoring, management and control of risks that the company may encounter during everyday business. These are Market Risk, Credit Risk, Operation Risk and Technology Risk. As the second line of defence, our Risk Management department is essential to CLSA’s successful operation.
What interns will do…
Interns will gain an appreciation of risk management and governance processes. In addition to assisting in the day-to-day risk management of our risk exposure by providing independent analysis of business activities and establishing processes to monitor these risks, interns may conduct projects support risk management activities.
