Career guidance is a means of empowerment for young people to get equipped with the knowledge needed to make informed decisions on their education and career. In March 2023, #CLSA has the opportunity to collaborate with Hong Kong Arts and Culture Development Centre (HKACDC) to host a career mentoring session for a group of 21 secondary school students from 14 secondary schools within the Greater Bay Area.
Hong Kong Arts and Culture Development Centre is a charitable organisation aiming to cultivate the next generation of engaged Hong Kong citizens and prepare them for employment and entrepreneurship through workshops, internship programmes, and company visits. The career mentoring session was held in the CLSA office, where students engaged in experience and knowledge sharing sessions with our staff volunteers and had a chance to see first-hand CLSA’s work environment through a workplace tour. Many participating students commented that the event was an eye-opening experience and helped them gain a better understanding of their career goals and enhance their career readiness.
