Cometh the hour, cometh the female fire dog. Fire dogs this year are going to be spending more than they're making, and that may just be what the new US treasury secretary will be overseeing. Do we read the susceptibility to illness that lurks in the chart as a personal charge by the cosmos or as an extension of the economic mess she'll be responsible for clearing up? Either way, her famed attention to detail will be required to cope with her first year in this position. Money being guided toward health expenses will no doubt be an unsurprising move under her aegis, and investors might want to keep tabs on the consequences of restructuring the US health system.
Surely one of the most enigmatic, untrammelled and moneyed thinkers for our age, where do the stars push our favourite truck-destroying metal pig? It's all looking good with numerous small frustrations littering his path this year. Small obstructions mean plenty of tinkering around the edges to make sure things are right, but nothing serious going wrong bodes well for his plans as he delivers them into the public sphere. When the stars say that they'll provide the opportunity but you need to grasp it, they could not have chosen a better vehicle for their aspirations. This high energy dude will have grasped the bull by the horns. We know he's promised fully self-driving cars this year, but is that all he'll bring to 2021 or should we also be expecting something startling from Neuralink, or even a new project?
Now past its first birthday, this seemingly unstoppable but precocious pest has been getting all the attention it doesn't crave. The competition to uncover its nemeses has been as intense as it has been quietly making itself at home. Its grand plans in the new year might finally be halted as a year of frustration beckons; lofty intentions are likely to be stymied, and the more it tries to impose its will on the world, the more it will damage itself. A life-threatening illness indicates that the various vaccines already in production and those coming on-line this year are likely to push the virus toward extinction. While it won’t die out, the higher powers indicate that the vaccines will eventually only allow the more harmless versions to continue on.
What would Elvis think? The passing of a recent law allowing the oldest member of the band, Kim Seok-jin, to defer his military service for two years past the required age allows K-Pop sensation BTS to continue to derange teenage girls the world over. The stars are a difficult read for BTS; after all, what is the natural life-span of a K-Pop band? Do we measure them as we do dogs with one of their years being seven of ours? If so, they're well into middle age and their true human features will come out rendering them real and boringly close to 30. But all is not yet lost, as they have some great signs in their career sector so we expect a strong year or two for them before they fade, as all teen-throbs must, from the bubble-gum firmament.
What's the best stroke to deploy when your opponent for the year is the Tai Sui? There's no tennis coach in the world who specialises in this, so this phenom will be sorting it out on court for herself. Our cosmic movers and shakers say that she'll be leaving some of us scratching our heads, so perhaps a few more coach changes. Her political stances may also raise some hackles this year and if that weren't enough, personal relationships could be a little rocky if she doesn't allocate the time and energy to deal with them. Notwithstanding these bumps in the road, her financial situation will likely run hot and cold this year, but as the highest sponsored woman in tennis, she can rearrange sponsors to fit her philosophy.
Actor, singer and family man, this cultural colossus has little left to prove. Yet the stars are circling and they have him in their sights. It would be a good year for him to focus on himself. Early to bed and early to rise, and no long nights at the studios or the bowling alley. He’s earned quite a lot of long-service leave, so if he spends more time this year with his family, or getting some stunt doubles in for nearly everything, we should be grateful that he’s taking care of himself so that he comes back to us, in the years to come, with the energy and devotion to his craft that he has so enthusiastically displayed. Expect him to slow his films down, spend a little more on his health, and make sure that his family time is not being neglected.
