Clinton Global Initiative (CGI)President Clinton established CGI to turn ideas into action and to help the world move beyond the current state of globalization to a more integrated global community of shared benefits, responsibilities, and values.
Since its establishment in 2005, CLSA has supported CGI’s Annual Meeting, which brings together heads of state, government and business leaders, scholars, and NGO directors to analyse, discuss and commit to action to address many of the world’s most pressing issues.
They are new, specific, and measurable initiatives undertaken by CGI members that vary in size and duration, and focus on diverse concerns, regions, and types of activities. Since 2005, commitments made through CGI have already affected more than 200 million lives in over 170 countries.
CLSA has established several Commitments to Action through support of projects and initiatives funded by the CLSA Chairman’s Trust.
