CLSA Capital Partners’ Aria III invests into Resonance Eduventures Private Limited
CLSA Capital Partners (“CLSACP”) is pleased to announce the investment of US$21.8 million by ARIA Investment Partners III L.P. (“ARIA III”) for a minority stake into Resonance Eduventures Private Limited (“Resonance”). The investment by the US$333 million ARIA III fund closed on 28 September 2011. This is the fifth investment by ARIA III and the tenth investment by the ARIA group of funds in India to date.

The report finds that there are 1.2 million high net worth individuals (HNWI) in Asia as of 2010, and the burgeoning group is forecasted to grow to 2.8 million, equivalent to a 140% increase, by 2015.

CLSA will host celebrated actor, producer, screenwriter, director, and human rights activist George Clooney at the 18th CLSA Investors’ Forum in Hong Kong from 19-23 September, 2011. In a conversation with CLSA clients over lunch on Wednesday, 21 September, Clooney will discuss his career, life outside Hollywood, activism and his Africa human rights and peace promotion work including the Satellite Sentinel Project which as recently as 24 August 2011 published evidence of two new mass graves around the disputed border area of South Sudan.

CLSA Capital Partners’ Aria III invests in PT Sinar Mitra Sepadan Finance (“SMS Finance”)
CLSA Capital Partners (”CLSACP”) is pleased to announce the investment of US$20 million by ARIA Investment Partners III L.P. (”ARIA III”) for a minority stake into PT Sinar Mitra Sepadan Finance (“SMS Finance”). The investment by the US$333 million Aria III fund closed on 22 July 2011. This is the ninth investment by ARIA III and the first direct investment in Indonesia by the ARIA group of funds to date. ARIA had previously invested in Indonesia via another portfolio company in Singapore which was successfully divested in 2005.
